Nokia’s PUSH initiative has been running for a little while now. The aim of it is to get developers and hackers to create new and exciting applications to fully take advantage of the Nokia N900. The Nokia N900 has turned out to be one of the most versatile smartphones ever released, and Nokia’s PUSH initiative has revealed the true extent of just what the Maemo 5 operating system is capable when left to the imagination if a bunch of hackers.
We’ve already been impressed by the Nokia N900’s ability to run games, multiple operating systems and even emulate a PS3 controller, but the most diverse thing we’ve seen to far is an N900 used to control a couple of pole dancing robots and a mechanical DJ.
PUSH has offered so much more, however, with hundreds of teams participating in the initiative and sharing their ideas.
