ovi-music-nokia-music-re-brandNokia Musiccould be in for a re-brand, bringing it in line with other Nokia services by taking the name of Ovi Music. Sounds like a sensible plan to us and has it already been implemented? Find out about Nokia Music becoming Ovi Music after the jump...

What's in a name? Well, moving Nokia Music over to Ovi Music would certainly bring it in line with other services and would also give it a brand name of its own. A story over at phonereport suggests that the name change is coming but we think it may well be here. After all, if you take a look at Ovi Suite, the music option is already called Ovi Music, so it's simply a case of making a public statement to that effect.

We've already got Nokia flirting with the idea of announcing the C Series at CeBIT this week - could this also be a decent platform to open up Ovi Music?

Curiously, the story goes to on to claim that Nokia will also make all music on Ovi Music DRM-free at the same time. The thinking behind statement revolves around the idea that now Ovi Maps is free the next step for Nokia would be to make all its services free of charge.

Now, this sounds more like wishful thinking than anything else at this stage but would taking Ovi Music free from the restrictions of DRM be a good thing? Let us know what you think in the Comments below.
