Nokia C5 Official with Sleek Candybar SmartphoneWell, it had to happen sooner or later and Nokia chose the first day of CeBIT in Hannover Germany to finally announce the Nokia C5 smartphone. This candybar handset looks very much like the Nokia 6700 classic but comes with its own take on that stunning design with a newly designed backplate and a stylish new keypad. Find out about what else the Nokia C5 has to offer after the jump...

The Nokia C5 has been doing the rounds in 'leaked' form for a few weeks but we can finally confirm that it exists. The Nokia C5 is a candybar smartphone that comes in a neat black and grey design. It also uses the Symbian S60 3rd Edition OS, making this a full-packed smartphone.

The 2.2-inch screen has a resolution of 240 x 320 pixels and the Homescreen can have your three favourite contacts sat right there. A neat new feature also allows you to get updates direct from Facebook.

It's thought there is just 50MB of memory onboard but the microSD slot supports up to 16GB – a 2GB card is in the box. When it comes to extra features you'll find a 3.2-Megapixel camera, stereo FM radio and 3.5mm AV connector.

The Nokia C5 is expected to ship in Q2 of this year and has a suggested price at this point of 135 Euros (£122). So what do you think, is this the handset the entry-level smartphone market has been waiting for? It's certainly got a style all its own. Let us know what you think in the Comments below.
