We’ve had access to the Nokia E72 in this country since November, and it’s turning out to be a fantastic little handset. With one of the best QWERTY keyboards available, and outstanding build quality, it’s a formidable package for corporate users. A slight update has been spotted, however, in the form of the Nokia E72i. Could it make the Nokia E72 even better? Read on to find out…
Initially the Nokia E72i will only be available in China. With regard to specs, most of the internal components are the same as the existing Nokia E72 – you’ll find HSDPA, A-GPS, Nokia Maps and 250MB of internal memory. The Nokia E72i also features the same excellent QWERTY keyboard and slimline casing.
However, the biggest change for the Nokia E72i is the inclusion of WAPI – China’s own version of Wi-Fi. Could it turn the Nokia E72 into a world beater? Only time will tell, although at present there’s no word on pricing or availability.
