Nokia-N97-photos-2One of the things we like about the Nokia N97 and the Nokia N97 Mini is the 5-Megapixel camera they both share which, along with Carl Zeiss optics, helps to deliver excellent results when taking photographs. There are a lot of tips and tricks you can do to deliver even better results, however, so read on to find out more…

The camera found on the Nokia N97 and Nokia N97 Mini is an excellent tool. Along with the 5-Megapixel camera, you’ll find a dual-flash and Carl Zeiss optics, resulting in excellent photographs, even in darker conditions. Follow the handy guide below, and you’ll be able to get even better results.

Symbian Dreams have put together a useful collection of photographs, highlighting just what’s possible if you change a few settings on your Nokia N97 or Nokia N97 Mini. You should consider changing the exposure at night time, for instance, as the bright Xenon flash can overcompensate, with imagines looking too washed out. Changing to a shorter exposure will darken the images.

One of the most impressive features is the ability to switch between different White Balance modes – from Sunny, Cloudy, Automatic and Close Up. Check out the photos of the flowers below, but it’s obvious that switching to cloudy gets rid of the blue tint in evidence in the first photographs.

It’s also possible to add vibrancy to your Nokia N97 photographs by opting for a Vivid mode. Again, Symbian Dreams achieved great results with the photographs below – and although more vibrant images can look a little over saturated in terms of perfect colour reproduction, there’s no doubt that it’s more aesthetically pleasing.

As always, it’s more the photographer that will influence photographs rather than the camera, so get out there and practice. In the meantime, check out the gallery below to see more images from Symbian Dreams.
