The emergence of the Nokia N8-00 may be a small step closer this morning as details of the device have popped up on one of Nokia's own sourcing sites. Does this all bode well for an April launch of the Nokia N8-00 device, rumoured to be the first Symbian^3 device to hit the market? The Nokia N8-00 has been picked up in a communication string found over on the nds Nokia site. In the document string there are the first details as to what the device will have. We're still no close to finding out if this will be a 3.5-inch device or not but we now know it'll support  a "360 x 640 pixel" screen size.

If the screen is indeed 3.5-inches, the same as the Nokia N97, then the Nokia N8-00 is looking to come sans QWERTY, as there is no mention of support in the document. Nor is there any mention of a capacitive display but it's expected the device will have such a screen, all the better to make the most of the super-fast OS.

As if by magic, Symbian^3 is mentioned as the operating system, so the rumours seem to have been on the money about that one. At this stage there is little more to be worked out, other than Bluetooth is present  and radios for Wi-Fi and GPRS/EGPRS/EDGE/WCDMA/HSDPA.
