The Nokia N900 is almost without limits when it comes to installing applications – irrespective of the platform they’re designed for. We’ve seen Windows 95, Mac OS X and even Google Android all running on this smartphone – it seems the only limits are your imagination.
The latest application to appear on the Nokia N900 is Google Chrome – a web browser that Maemo Arena claims to be one of the fastest on Earth. Called Google Chromium in this case – as it’s yet to be officially ported by Google – this browser nether the less appears to be a very impressive and professional install.
Better yet, it supports Flash content, letting you watch videos and other demanding content on the move, and Maemo Arena reports that it “works great”, with Flash content also working “very well too”.
That said, there are still a couple of bugs at this stage, but it’s likely these will be ironed out in due course. With a bit of luck, Google will also get involved, and make this an official app for the Nokia N900.
Have you installed Google Chrome for your Nokia N900? Let us know how you’ve been getting on if so.
