Nokia-n8-00-to-launch-on-the-13th-2Nokia is set to launch a new product first thing in the morning, and we’ll be getting up at the crack of dawn to make sure we’re the first in the queue. Although the invite doesn’t give away a lot, we know it’ll involve new handsets, so could this be the launch of the much-anticipated Nokia N8-00? Read on after the break to find out more…

We’ve just received our invite to tomorrow’s virtual event, and as you can see from the image it doesn’t give away much about what will be announced. All we know is that it will involve a new handset – and possibly more than one. However, rumours have been flying round recently about the upcoming Nokia N8-00 – the first Symbian ^3 device, so could this be the launch of the Nokia N8-00?

It would definitely fit in with the timeframe for Symbian ^3 – we’ve been expecting the new OS to launch in the first half of 2010, and the Nokia N8-00 is expected to be the first handset to take advantage of this operating system.

However, the Nokia Virtual Invite that we received for tomorrow morning also included a separate image, depicting a couple of speech bubbles. To us, this signifies the importance of speech for the upcoming devices, which also hints at new C-series handsets.

Eschewing fancy features and concentrating more on speech, it’s likely that tomorrow’s launch will see the official announcement of at least one C-series phone. Could it be the Nokia C6? An affordable handset with a similar design to the Nokia N97, it could be the ideal companion for simple texting and calls. Rumours of the Nokia C3 have also been circling for some time now, so tomorrow could also see the launch of the Nokia C3.

Either way, we’ll be up at ready to bring you the news as it happens, so check back here tomorrow at 9am-10am to find out what Nokia has up its sleeve.
