nokia-c3-revealed-frontWe’ve been seeing rumours of the Nokia C3 for the past month or so, but Nokia has finally released full details of its entry-level Nokia C3. This is the first Symbian S40 device to feature a proper QWERTY keyboard, borrowing technology from more expensive Nokia handsets. To find out more about the Nokia C3, join us after the cut…

We already guessed that today's announcement would involve at least one C-series handset - with the invite for this morning's press event featuring a speech bubble that depicts - to our eyes at least - the importance of communication. With talk and text functionality a priority of the budget C-series, leaving high-end features to the more expensive ranges - the announcement of the Nokia C3 doesn't come as a surprise.

Featuring a design more in-keeping with high-end models such as the Nokia E72, the Nokia C3 is the perfect device for text addicts. With a large QWERTY keypad, it's also ideal for taking advantage of Nokia's Messaging service, as it promises to be easier than ever to create emails, text and multimedia messages. One-click access to Nokia Messaging is also integrated, highlighting the importance of communication for the Nokia C3.

Nokia has also built a Communities client into the Nokia C3's homescreen, making it easier to access your favourite social networking applications - such as MSN Messenger - and keep up to date with what your friends are up to.

Perhaps surprisingly for a handset at the entry-level end of the market, Nokia has included Wi-Fi - a feature normally seen on much more expensive smartphones - so you'll be able to connect to the internet and keep updated without having to use up valuable data. Bluetooth is also built-in - highlighing how much entry-level devices now have to offer.

The Nokia C3 is available in a range of bright colours - including slate grey, golden white and hot pink, highlighting the fact it's targeting younger users, but it's also one of the more stylish QWERTY handsets we've seen. Pricing details have yet to be revealed, but you can expect the Nokia C3 to go on sale in the few weeks.
