If you’re serious about getting the best photos from your Nokia smartphone then something like this Mobile Phone Tripod Holder is ideal. It consists of tripod legs, which even has telescopic extensions, and a holder with spring-loaded grip to hold your smartphone in place.

The spring mechanism means you can fit any size of smartphone in within reason. We found the Nokia X6 fit with ease, as did the Nokia 5800, but the Nokia N86 8MP was a tight fit and certainly nothing wider Nok-wise will fit.

Along with the clamp there is an extender, so longer phones can be used with ease. We found our Nokia X6 was a snug fit but you do need to position your smartphone in such a way that you can still hit the Capture button with ease. The Mobile Phone Tripod Holder sits in a neat little ball joint arrangement and the screw is a good enough to make setting it to the right angle easy enough. We also found it clamped the holder firmly in place; vital if you’re to get a rock steady shot.

The stand itself is very light and packs away nice and small, so won’t be a burden to anyone thinking of travelling around with it. If we had one complaint it would be that it may be a little too light, as we found that using it on a windy pebbly beach tended to make it a little top heavy.

Verdict
