Ovi Maps 3.03 changed the world of portable navigation when it was released earlier this year, offering free turn-by-turn mapping to many Nokia users. Not content to sit on its laurels, Nokia has been working on the beta version of Ovi Maps 3.04. To find out more about Ovi Maps 3.04, join us after the break...
Ovi Maps 3.03 is arguably the best free application we’ve seen in the past few years, offering a premium satellite navigation service for your Nokia smartphone without any of the costs. Ovi Maps 3.04 has been around as a beta version for a little while now, but received a minor update on April 16th.
Ovi Maps 3.04 brings with it a slightly smoother feel, with improved positioning speed and accuracy for the GPS, faster zooming and improved search functions, although because it’s still at a beta stage you can expect there still to be a few bugs that need ironing out.
We’re not sure what changes have been made to the latest version of Ovi Maps 3.04 – indeed the update doesn’t even get a new number, but the filename has changed slightly so we know there are some differences.
Either way, you can download the latest version of Ovi Maps 3.04 from Nokia Beta Labs. Have you downloaded Ovi Maps 3.04? Leave a comment and let us know how you get on if so.
