Firmware Update 50.0.005 offers a few big changes for your Nokia 5800, including the usual bug fixes. One of the most noticeable is the inclusion of kinetic scrolling in the application menu, bringing the Nokia 5800 in line with more modern handsets such as the Nokia N97 Mini. The update also promises smoother running and minor performance updates.
Firmware Update 50.0.005 also offers compatibility with the latest version of Ovi Maps, bringing completely free turn-by-turn navigation to the masses. Firmware Update 50.0.005 will be available both OTA (Over The Air) and via Nokia Software Updater, although it may not be available in all regions simultaneous, so keep checking if not.
