Nokia N8 Hands-on Preview The Nokia N8 seems to have made its first non-blurry photo appearance in a rather heavy preview of Nokia's 'soon-to-be', announced that is, flagship device. Want to know a few more details on the Nokia N8, then check out the Nokia N8 preview after the jump...

The Nokia N8 looks like it could be getting announced some time sooner rather than later as a rather nifty Nokia N8 hands-on preview has turned up online, showing off the 3.5-inch device and yes, it does have the Symbian^3 OS running on it, and yes, it does have a 12-Megapixel camera on-board. What's this, it even comes with the much vaunted HDMI-out port so you can send your HD video straight to your HD TV.

5 things you need to know about the Nokia N8

Russian website Mobile Review has this uncanny knack of getting their hands on devices before they've even been announced. However, have they got they hands on the Nokia N8 a little too soon. After all, Nokia Chief Executive Olli Pekka Kallasvuo announced last week that the Symbian^3 operating system was being delayed as there were issues with it.

This is borne out by the rather scant overview the guys at MR give the OS, which would suggest that while the hardware is firmly in place, they were testing a highly Beta version of the software, so this is highly unlikely to be the device we see launched later this year.

There has still been no official word from Nokia on when the Nokia N8 will be launched, let alone let loose into the world. However, head over to the Mobile Review site for more pics of the Nokia N8 in action.

“… that the Symbian^3 operating system was being delayed as there were issues with it.” ISSUES!!!? The UI is utterly disgusting (compared to the Android, or even maemo). Total disappointment… :(

Sometimes I wonder what exactly in terms of a Symbian UI would not be “disgusting”. I mean, the iPhone has a grid of icons. S60 had that in its menus years ago. You’ll want to have a good quick glance of what’s going on by looking at your phone, and at least that single photograph seems to deliver just that.

After launching n900 , nokia claimed that now all the n series will follow the Maemo platform . But still Symban ???
Why ??? Is Maemo worthlessss ??????????????????????
