Nokia X2 Officially Launched The Nokia X2 seems to have slipped out fully formed into the world this morning without any of the fuss of furore of the Nokia N8. The Nokia X2 is part of the now quickly expanding music-centric X Series range. Find out all about the Nokia X2 and its slim and slight frame after the jump...

Following on from the Nokia X5 launching in China last week, we have the Nokia X2, which will be winging its way to India first. This is another entry-level music phone that looks the business.

The Nokia X2 is a slim and light candybar phone that weighs in at just 81g. It's built around its 2.2-inch QVGA screen and is just 13mm at its thickest point. It's a Series 40 phone that comes with a host of features, including Bluetooth, aluminium backplate, access to Facebook and the Nokia the Ovi Store.

Shipping in India first, the Nokia X2 will also support Comes With Music in territories where it's available. We're not sure how this will roll out in India, where Ovi Music is the main Nokia Music service.

Following the new numbering system for Nokia devices, the Nokia X2 is very much an entry-level device, so don't expect any of the high-end features found on the Nokia X6 for example.

Still, we were more than impressed with what the Nokia X3 had to offer, so this could well be another one of those surprisingly efficient entry-level phones. So, you'll find the Nokia X2 comes with dual speakers, dedicated music keys, FM stereo and 48MB of internal memory. Support for up to 16GB of storage using the microSD card slot means you'll be able to pack plenty of music on-board.

The Nokia X2 will have a price of around 85 Euros, or around £70 here in the UK when it finally goes official, which is pretty amazing when you consider that the Nokia X2 comes with a 5-Megapixel camera with full video recorder.
