The Nokia 5230 has received a firmware v20.0.005 update that brings with it enhanced stability to a smartphone that was already feeling pretty rock solid in the first place. However, the big news is that kinetic scrolling, the ability to swoosh through your contacts of apps page, brings the Nokia 5230 inline with other Symbian S60 5th Edition devices.

Other features of the Nokia 5230 firmware v20.0.005 update include a speeded up menu system, smoother setup for the A-GPS features and even an improved music player.

You can get hold of the Nokia 5230 firmware v20.0.005 update either Over the Air (OTA) or by using the Nokia Software Updater on your desktop. It's worth pointing out that as with all Nokia firmware updates, this won't appear on all devices at the same time but be patient and the update will appear.
