Over at Nokia Conversations they’ve just highlighted a trio of summer-themed apps, all available from the Nokia Ovi Store. Read on and we’ll tell you why Carnival Blast, Voice Coach 1.1 and Doodle Jump can bring a taste of sunshine to your Nokia phone.

First up is Carnival Blast, which delivers six classic funfair games onto your S60 5th edition mobile: Puzzle Cups, Smash the Pumpkins, Clown Hockey, Shoot the Duck, Darts, and Jackpot. Simple stuff, but a snip at just £1. Download it here: Carnival Blast.

Planning on getting fit and healthy in time for that beach holiday? Then Voice Coach 1.1 is the app for you. Available for S60 3rd edition and S60 5th edition phones, it tracks your performance during jogging, cycling, rollerskating or just, well, moving around and barks vocal encouragements such as “finish strong!” and “don’t stop now!” at you. Finally there’s Doodle Jump, a platform game controlled by your Nokia phone’s accelerometer (or by having you tap the touchscreen if you don’t have an accelerometer-equipped mobile). Making “The Doodler” jump back and forth, you guide him up the screen, bounding from platform to platform. Some platforms aren’t safe, though, and you’ll also have bad guys to contend with. Not perhaps the most summery of apps, but a fine way to spend time while you’re waiting to board that plane. Costs £3 and can be downloaded here: Doodle Jump.
