The Nokia X2 may not have been officially announced here in the UK yet but we managed to get our hands on a preview sample. We have to admit that India is in for a great time with the Nokia X2, being the first country to get its collective hands on the Nokia X2, as it's a stunning candybar device. Read on to check out our Nokia X2 hands-on preview...
The Nokia X2 is a slim and light candybar phone that weighs in at just 81g. It’s built around its 2.2-inch QVGA screen and is just 13mm at its thickest point. It’s a Series 40 phone that comes with a host of features, including Bluetooth, aluminium backplate, access to Facebook and the Nokia the Ovi Store.
So far so good, but with Nokia's new naming convention suggesting the Nokia X2 is very much an entry-level phone be prepared for a knock-out device. There is a 5-Megapixel camera on-board that comes with full video capture and given that this device is set to cost around £70 when it final ships, that's a pretty amazing fact on its own.
Add to this a pretty amazing build quality. As you can see from our photos (below) the Nokia X2 looks great. The candybar design is neat and trim and like the Nokia X3 it comes in black and red, so is very much identifiable as a Nokia music phone.
The Nokia X2 has only been announced for launch in India so far and we've no idea when it'll get a UK release. However, we hope it's soon as the Nokia X2 could well be the entry-level music device to wow the non-touchscreen fans out there.
