Nokia N8 Playing Bounce and Rally MasterUPDATED: News about the Nokia N8 continues to chug along at a neat rate. While we get the chance to play with the Nokia N8 in prototype form earlier this week, it seems someone has been lucky enough to play Bounce and Rally Master and even bagged a video to prove it. The Nokia N8 is a 3.5-inch smartphone running the Symbian^3 operating system and along with packing in a 12-Megapixel camera also has the gaming chops to handle OpenGL 2 codecs for a full 3D experience.

So, when saw the guys over at fonearena had posted a video of the Nokia N8 playing both Bounce 3D and Rally Master we got very excited indeed. Sadly, by the time we got to the video it seemed to no longer be there.

It seems the original poster of the video on YouTube has pulled it for a reason we don't know, maybe it was a little too soon to be showing off the gaming prowess of the Nokia N8? Anyway, Varun has been in touch to tell us that fonearena has uploaded the video themselves, so we can check it out:

We have to admit that gaming in 3D on the Nokia N8 could well become the main feature for us when it's released, it looks so quick and nimble!

What's more, we still have the official Nokia video showing how well Angry Birds, Asphalt 5 and Real Golf 2011.     @Varun – many thanks for that – looks absolutely amazing! Now all we need to know is how they got their hands on a full working version long enough to play some games – any ideas?

    Might be they got some pre-release builds from the game makers or the n8 might actually be shipping with these games on board so the prototype had it .

    Looks like Symbian^3 is playing catchup with Maemo :D

    ^^^^ you would think that Nokia would run with Maemo and put it on all their phones
    I’m not a fan of gaming on my phone, (ill stick with my psp) but those two looked like they ran quite well and the graphics were decent

    Decent?? It was awesome! I thought it was just the camera they were highlighting on this phone(?), the gaming rocks! I will buy 2 N8s! Best phone ever.

    I have had my n8 about 1 1/2 months now and have:-
    Real Golf 2011
    Need for Speed Shift HD
    The Sims 3
    Spider-Man: Total Mayhem HD
    Assasins creed HD
    Avatar HD
    Ashphalt 5 HD
    Hero of sparta HD
    The Settlers HD
    Worms HD
    Monopoly HD
    plus a few other small games
    as a PsP gamer I was very supprised to find that most games were even better than the PsP alternatives.
    It has to be said that this is an amazing phone

    PS. cant wait for the UI update later this year!
