The Nokia N8 Mini doesn't seem too much of a stretch does it? In this age where every major smartphone launch seems to be followed by a Mini version. After all, Nokia started the trend with the Nokia N97 Mini. So, we're asking the question; 'What would a Nokia N8 Mini look like?' Read on as we investigate the idea of the Nokia N8 Mini.
What we know: The Nokia N8 is a 3.5-inch capacitive touchscreen smartphone set to run the Symbian^3 operating system. It packs in 16GB of memory and a whopping 12-Megapixel camera.
The Challenge: Shrink the Nokia N8 down for those looking for a Nokia N8 Mini version.
The guys over at Techradar have been looking at 'Mini' versions of smartphones recently and quite fancy the idea of a Nokia X6 Mini. However, that could well mean shrinking the screen down to 2.8-inch, which would lose some of the appeal.

No, we much prefer the idea of a Nokia N8 Mini and why not, it happened with the Nokia N97 before it, taking the 3.5-inch down to the 3.2-inch of the Nokia N97 Mini gave people a whole new option to play with.
Making the Nokia N8 Mini with a 3.2-inch screen would mean a tighter and even slimmer model and we'd be happy to see it drop memory to 8GB but naturally 16GB would be preferable. The big question is whether this smaller design would be able to handle a 12-Megapixel camera with Carl Zeiss Optics? We'd like to think so, as we're ticking that box too.
This being the Nokia N8 but in a more compact size, we'd still expect to see HD quality video recording and the HDMI port allowing us to link the Mini wonder up to our HD TV for that full movie experience.

Naturally, this would all be wrapped up with the super-speedy Symbian^3 operating system with its multiple Homescreens, support for 3D gaming and social media at the core of all the apps.
So what do you think, is Nokia likely to develop a Nokia N8 Mini and if so would you opt for a smaller screen or do you like what the full-blown Nokia N8 is set to offer? Let us know what you think in the Comments below.
