Rumours about the launch of the Nokia N8 are starting to speed up. It only seems like yesterday that we could expect an August launch for the Nokia N8. Today, we're looking at a July pre-order date for the 3.5-inch touchscreen device running Symbian^3, packing in a 12-Megapixel camera and housing 16GB of storage.

A story has popped up over at Slashgear that points out that Nokia has erected a Countdown device at its Helsinki HQ with hoardings around it claiming we'll be able to pre-order the Nokia N8 in some 44 days. This puts the official pre-order launch of the Nokia N8 firmly in July.
With Nokia often taking at least six weeks to launch a device from its pre-order date, we could still be looking at a September on sale date for the Nokia N8, which brings us neatly in-line with Nokia World 2010.
