The Nokia N8 is getting a great deal of well deserved attention right now and even Nokia itself seems to be getting in on the act by releasing the first of what it claims will be three videos showcasing the various skills of the Nokia N8. Read on to find out what the Nokia N8 has to offer in the way of new Homescreen, Ovi Maps, Messaging and the internet.

The Nokia N8 is coming in for a great deal of attention ahead of its launch and rightly so. The first 12-Megapixel CCD camera from Nokia seems to have been overshadowed by the news that the Nokia N8 will be the first Symbian^3 smartphone from Nokia.

With a new version of the operating system comes a new Homescreen and a host of new developments and what is better than to show them off than a new series of videos.

Chris Bennetts, a Nokia Senior Project Manager is the host of the first of three Nokia videos to showcase the new Nokia N8. In the video we get to see first hand the new Homescreen as well as how fast it is to switch between multiple apps and even how smoothly the Nokia N8 handles the internet and messaging.

Chris also goes on to show how well Ovi Maps works with the Nokia N8, both in standard mode as well as 3D mode. The video is well worth checking out as it gives you a real insight as to what we can expect from the Nokia N8 when it ships in the next month or so.
