Nokia’s new naming structure makes it easier than ever before to decide which handset will best suit your needs, with the devices numbered in terms of where they sit in the range. 1 is the entry-level handset, with 9 being the range-topping model. As it stands, then, the Nokia X2 is the cheapest device you can buy.

That doesn’t mean it’s devoid of features, however. You’ll find Bluetooth for wireless syncing, and there’s even a 5-Megapixel camera. This stylish handset is compact and lightweight, yet still gets a high quality aluminium backing. If you’re in the market for a simple device, then the Nokia X2 is definitely the handset for you.

Sitting slightly higher up the range, the Nokia X3 is a sliding handset. Features such as the dedicated media buttons around the side of the screen makes it perfect for music playback, and there’s a 2GB microSD card included as standard. You’ll be able to upgrade this to 16GB if required, or listen to the built-in FM radio.

However, this slightly older handset features a slightly lesser camera, with a 3.2-Megapixel sensor, so you’ll be better served by the Nokia X2 if photographs are a priority.

Currently sitting at the top of the X-series range, the Nokia X6 features a stunning 3.2-inch touchscreen display. Using capacitive technology, it’s one of Nokia’s most advanced touchscreen handsets, and is fantastic for music and media playback.

The big screen makes it easy to browse the internet, and it’s also great for watching movies on the move. You’ll also be able to get this handset with up to 32GB of inbuilt storage, making it by far the best phone in the range if you want to store music or videos. The Nokia X6 is also available with a Comes With Music license, letting you download free music for a year.
