The Nokia 6700 Slide may share a name with its slide-less counterpart but apart from the same amazing level if build quality, these are two quite different phones. The slider action is smooth and the compact design makes it easy to slip into your jeans pocket.

The Nokia 6700 Slide is built around a 2.2-inch screen and a large D-pad interface that makes getting the most out of the S60 3rd Edition operating system easy to do. The menu buttons are built around a large D-pad and we found the device felt great in the hand.

There is a knack in to getting the battery into the Nokia 6700 Slide. First you need to open the USB  cover on the top of the phone. There you will find a small black button you need to press in order to pop the aluminium back cover off. Once it's open you can pack the SIM card and battery in as normal.

On the back of the Nokia 6700 Slide you'll find a whopping 5-Megapixel camera with dual-Flash and Carl Zeiss optics, which is pretty much everything you'll need from a camera. Auto-focus and video capture come a standard too.
