The Nokia N97 Mini, which for many fine folk is the true N Series flagship device right now, has received a firmware update, taking it to firmware version v12.0.110. From what we know about this update it seems to pretty much be a maintenance update, making the operating system a little more robust and the platform more stable. Read on to find out more about the Nokia N97 Mini firmware v12.0.110 update.
The Nokia N97 Mini is the 3.2-inch touchscreen version of the larger Nokia N97 and comes with a slightly refined slide-out QWERTY keyboard but runs the same Symbain S60 5th Edition OS. We don't have a Nokia N97 Mini to hand, so don't know what the update consists of and with no changelog available at this time details are a little slim on the ground.

It does seem that the Nokia N97 Mini firmware v12.0.110 update is only available via the Nokia Software Updater, and not Ovi Suite, at this time, which seems a little odd. What's more, the OTA update isn't expected to hit for a couple of days yet.
It's worth bearing in mind that Nokia updates roll out around the world at different times, so while the update is out there is may be a few days, or even weeks, before it starts to show up. The only thing you can do is regularly check your handset for the update. What's more, if you have a telco branded device, you'll need to wait until they roll out their own version of the update otherwise you risk losing operator installed apps and utilities.
The Nokia N97 Mini comes with UDP (User Data Preservation), so you don't need to readily backup all your files but we'd suggest doing so just to be on the safe side.
