Nokia C6 Pre-Order Set For July Launch The Nokia C6 Pre-order popped up on the Nokia Online website over the weekend and promptly disappeared again! But not before we could get a screengrab of the page! There wasn't a lot of new detail added but we did get a glimpse of when the Nokia C6 was set to launch. Read on to find out more about the Nokia C6 pre-order...

The Nokia C6 is set to be the first QWERTY handset in the C Series range and be powered by the Symbian S60 5th Edition OS. In many respects, the Nokia C6 can be seen as a budget alternative to the Nokia N97 Mini.

We brought you news last week about Play.com offering the Nokia C6 as a pre-order and would start selling the knock-out smartphone on 30th July. Play quoted a price of £269.99 (inc. VAT), which looks like being a bargain price.

Now, it seems that Nokia Online is set to follow suit, as it posting a pre-order of the Nokia C6 with an 'End of July' launch date. Sadly, the site didn't set a price and must have realised a mistake had been made as the page was promptly pulled down again.

So, can we expect the Nokia C6 page to go live again later this week, and with a price? We sure hope so as the Nokia C6 looks like being a cracking device for the social networker who wants it all – touchscreen, QWERTY keyboard, as well as instant access to Ovi Mail and Ovi Maps.

What do you think, is the Nokia C6 the next smartphone for you? Let us know what you think in the Comments below.

I’ve had a 5800 for the last year and a half, and I was thinking of going for the new N8 when it comes out as I’d have trouble moving away from a touchscreen now. As a fan of social media, I was also wondering about going for something with a qwerty pad, like the E72. As the Nokia C6 has both, I think my decision has been made! The 12MP camera of the N8 is a great selling point, but I can happily make do with a 5MP camera, and the C6 seems to have everything else I would want from a phone – wifi, good social networking, sat nav and the rest. I think this will turn out to be a very successful phone for Nokia, and I’m very much looking forward to getting one. I do have an upgrade option of the new iPhone, but I like my phones to be phones first and foremost. This should have enough toys on it to keep me happy, although it would be great if the Nokia OVI store could offer a few more decent apps than the rather meagre selection it currently has.
