The Nokia C3 is a great little messenger device aimed at getting even the biggest technophobes up and social networking. How does it do this? Well, a great entry-level price that delivers real value for money and a keyboard that is a please to use. Read on and find out how well it all works with our Nokia C3 keyboard review.
The Nokia C3 may not be kicking down the doors of innovation but it has kind of ram-raided its way into our affections simply by feeling great in the hand and by being a pleasure to use. The slim design of the body and the 114g weight make it easy to hold, and even easier to slip in and out of your pocket.
The body of the Nokia C3 is tough to the touch, with a plastic face but metal used on the back of the body as well as the backplate, so is bound to stand up to years of heavy use.
The standard softkey and D-pad arrangement is reminiscent of the Nokia E72 and, like its more expensive counterpart, works exceedingly well at allowing you to navigate around the on-screen menus as well as use the normal phone functions.

Then there is the main keyboard itself, which is a full-powered QWERTY affair. The individual keys may initially feel a little cramped but they have a nicely rounded design to them so once you've had a quick practise you'll find that typing becomes quit fluid. Sure, typing without looking at the keyboard may be a long time in the coming but
In the centre of the keyboard you'll find a four column, three row arrangement for the numerical buttons and main in-call keys have been set out and highlighted, so making a simple call is easy. Sitting under this is the Spacebar, neatly taking up the four-column width, so even if you're in a dark room you'll easily be able to located the numeric pad.
Secondary function keys can be found on the edges of the keyboard and mirror those of the Nokia E72. We've found the key placement to be fairly intuitive and when you type you'll find the action of the keys is smooth.
If your main reason for buying the Nokia C3 is the keyboard then you're in for a treat as once you're up and accustomed to using it you'll find it a pleasure to use. Add to this a great build quality from the device itself and the Nokia C3 has to be one of the best budget phones to launch in a long time.
