Alien-shaped pinball for your Nokia invades the Ovi Store in this free time-waster. Like pinball? Then you just might like Alien Pinball. It's pinball! With aliens. What's not to like? Find out in our Alien Pinball review...
It might be called Alien Pinball but besides ET's uglier cousin slapped across the virtual pinball machine you'll find barely any real correspondence to the Third Kind. What you will find is basic pinballing action.
Diving into Alien Pinball the in-game presentation is pleasant enough without offering too much. The graphics are clear and the flashing messages and icons that appear when you score points are a nice touch.
As if we really need to explain the game of pinball it's about moving a shiny ball around a machine using on-screen flippers, which you control here by tapping on the two flipper buttons situated at the bottom of the screen. They're massive, you can't miss 'em.
Hitting the ball into various zones of the board trigger bonuses giving you extra points, multipliers or even more balls. Lighting up the 'ROAR' sign in the middle nets you a jackpot. If you've played any type of pinball game before you'll know what to expect, especially if you've played the earlier reviewed Soccer Pinball.
Overall Alien Pinball is a decent pinball offering, but nothing special. Chances are you'll discard it after a few plays despite Alien Pinball not doing too much wrong. It's very basic but we'd expect as much from a game that costs nothing. If you're willing to spend a couple of quid there's better out there.
