Nokia C6-01: QWERTY 8-Megapixel Smartphone The Nokia C6-00 briefly turned up in the UK last week but it seems it won't be the only Nokia C6 to launch this year as the Nokia C6-01 with 8-Megapixel snapper also looks set to be released. Read on to find out more about the Nokia C6-00 and the Nokia C6-01 QWERTY smartphones.

The Nokia C6-01 takes everything we already know about the announced Nokia C6-00 version, such as a full QWERTY slide-out keyboard, Symbian S60 5th Edition OS and 3.2-inch touchscreen. However, instead of coming with a modest 5-Megapixel camera, the Nokia C6-01 is set to up the game with the addition of an 8-Megapixel CCD.

Built around a 3.2-inch touchscreen you’ll find the body is made from tough plastic and with a quick slide you’ll expose the full QWERTY keypad with separate D-Pad. Other features include 5-Megapixel camera with autofocus and LED Flash. Then there is the A-GPS receiver as well as Ovi Maps included, while connectivity is handled at 3.5G speeds courtesy of HSDPA and you’ll find Wi-Fi on-board too.

Nokia C6: Five Things We Love

The Nokia C6-01 with 8-Megapixel camera has already gone up for pre-order in the Netherlands for 279 Euros (around £235) while the standard Nokia C6-00 costs €220 (£185) and has a sticker on it saying 'Exclusive', which may well suggest this version is for the Netherlands only and may not come make it to this side of the Channel. Check out the Nokia C6-01 at Nokia Netherlands.

What do you think, are you happy with the Nokia C6-00 or would you rather pay a little extra and get your hands on the Nokia C6-01 with 8-Megapixel snapper? Let us know what you think in the Comments below.

It is not fair when one phone is not released how can Nokia go on announcing version 01, 02 and so on. I was waiting for C-6 but given the fact that possible version 01 may not be launched in India very soon. How can one person decide when he knows that once lauched he will purchase outdated product due to revised versions declared by the company even before the original launch. I may switch over to some other option.
