MyPaint Potential On N900 Shown Off In New VideoIf you're an Nokia N900 owner with an artistic touch, check out the MyPaint app – a versatile piece of software that lets you create instant artwork using nothing more than your N900's touchscreen and the supplied stylus. The app has been around for a little while, but it's only now that we're starting to see some truly staggering results...

With MyPaint, the flagship Nokia's pressure-sensitive touchscreen turns into a canvas and the stylus into a full range of brushes and pencils just waiting to create an N900-inspired masterpiece.

As the latest demo video below shows, it works remarkably well, with the weight sensitivity of the N900 and the huge range of brushes and colours on offer creating a wide scope for artistic expression. Unlike the capacitive screens on most modern touchscreens, the resistive panel on the Nokia N900 is also pressure sensitive, really coming into its own with this painting application.

Results really are jaw dropping if you have the talent to match the Nokia N900 and MyPaint's capabilities, with the creation below looking outstanding on the Nokia N900's 3.5in WVGA screen, while there's also the option of viewing your creations on an external display via the TV out connection.

MyPaint is still in development, but we've already had a play and you can check out our impressions here.

In the meantime, check out MyPaint in action, and see if you can better the staggeringly good piece of art in the video below:
