nokia-n8-pre-orer-franceThe Nokia N8, the device we're all eagerly waiting for, has popped up with three more pre-orders, alongside the Nokia N8 Italy Pre-order, helping to confirm that you'll be able to pick up your Nokia N8 for around 450 Euros. Read on to find out about the latest Nokia N8 pre-orders.

The Nokia N8 may not have been given an official launch date yet but it's looking increasingly like the end of August or start of September will be when we finally get our hands on this 3.5-inch smartphone running Symbian^3 and rocking up with a 12-Megapixel camera.

How do we know? Well, it seems the Nokia N8 has gone up for pre-order on Nokia Germany with a list price of 479 Euros for starters. What's more, the Nokia N8 has also shown up for pre-order at Nokia France with a price of 459 Euros.

Interestingly, the Nokia N8 pre-order has also popped up on Nokia Poland with a price of 1,999 PLN, which is around 500 Euros. So, it would seem that the Nokia N8 will have a best price of 450 Euros in territories where it is being aggressively priced.

Now, Nokia originally gave the Nokia N8 an estimated price of 370 Euros but this was before taxes and local fluctuations so we won't be able to get our hands on the Nokia N8 quite as cheaply as we were hoping. There is still no official word on a Nokia N8 pre-order here in the UK but it's looking like the Nokia N8 is set to cost around £420 (inc. VAT), as suggested on MobileFun.

So, will you be getting a Nokia N8 pre-order in as soon as it hits here in the UK or will you be going with the retailers? Let us know what your plans with the Nokia N8 are in the Comments below.

Won’t be buying – wrong side of £400 for me. My 5800 will have to last a bit longer (and apart from HD video there is really nothing compelling about the N8 versus the 5800 imho).

Wow… I’m still waiting on a US or NAM price on the N8… I was looking to retire a 5230 and an HD camcorder at the same time with the N8, but with a price still north of 400 Euros, I don’t think that’ll happen. I thought this was going to be Nokia’s mid-tier device for the coming year?!?
I also realize this price is SIM free and without carrier subsidies (virtually unheard of here in the US), but it’s still quite expensive. I really hope Nokia partners with at least one carrier here in the US to get that cost down and get themselves back on the front lines here in North America…

The price of the N8 is listed on the French website as including sales tax, so that 459 euro price tag drops to 379 euros plus sales tax. That’s as close as anyone could expect to the anticipated price announced by Nokia earlier in the year isn’t it? Furthermore, the 16GB X6 is listed at 339 euros on the French site, which equates to £274 including VAT, pretty close to the Nokia UK website £279 price. Shouldn’t we therefore deduce that the UK price for the N8 is more likely to be close to or a bit over the £371 mark (459 euro less 21% tax, divided by 1.20 euro to the the £, plus UK VAT)? The German N8 price equates to £394, although the X6 is £270 in Germany, a bit less than our £279 price. A bit upside down, granted.

My estimate for the N8 is £379 including VAT, NOT £420. Assuming the phone is launched in the UK before January 2011, when UK VAT is scheduled to increase to 20% ;)

Hope somebody does a proper review of this phone and not fall over themselves showing where the buttons are on the ouside and the camera. Idiots have been on the web since May making fools of themselves when any existing Nokia user wants to know speed, browser and usability. What are things like the ram after booting up, do you have to turn phone on and off every day to get back memory. Any footage on web shows this phone to be slow even changing orientation so any review better cover enerything. Unit price means little when getting this on a phone plan, this phone is to listed the same as nexus one, iphone4 here in Australia.
