You've been able to order your shopping at Tesco online for a little while, but there's now a dedicated Tesco Groceries app available from the Ovi Store. From browsing and ordering your shopping, to changing an existing shopping list, it has a lot to offer. What's it actually like to use, though? Join us after the break to find out...
The first thing to do once you've downloaded and installed the Tesco Groceries app is to register. You can do this on your Nokia's web browser, or also using your PC. It's a lot easier to register on a PC, however, as the registration form can be quite fiddly to use on a 3.2-inch screen.
The Tesco Groceries app is incredibly simple to use – the menus are attractive, and the buttons are more than big enough, even for those with larger fingers. The first button on the app lets you choose a delivery slot, getting your groceries delivered at a time that's most convenient for you.
You can easily add items to your shopping list – simply type the item that you're looking for, and tap it when it appears on the list. Once you've found what you're looking for, simply click Add, and then continue your shopping.
If you're not quite sure what you're looking for, you can also shop by categories, with products broken down into: Fresh food, Bakery, Food cupboard, Frozen food, Drinks, Baby, Health & beauty, Pets, Household and Homeware.
You can click on Basket to see what you have selected at any point, and once you've finished shopping, and picked a delivery time, it's a simple case of pressing the Checkout tab and paying.
If your other half has already made an order using Tesco Online on the family PC, you can even amend the order from your Nokia, cheekily adding prohibited items such as alcohol or junk food.
Overall, the Tesco Groceries app really couldn't be simpler. It does its job incredibly well, is easy to use and best of all, means you can do your shopping – or edit an exiting shopping list – all from the comfort of your sofa.
