Nokia X3 Touch And TypeWe brought you details of the Nokia X3 Touch and Type yesterday – a brand new smartphone offering both a touchscreen and a traditional alpha-numeric keypad – and we've now got all the info you need to know. Join us after the break to find out more...

The Nokia X3 Touch and Type is the first Nokia handset to feature both a touchscreen display and an alpha-numeric keypad, combining a compact form factor with touchscreen functionality. We can't wait to get our hands on one, but in the meantime will have to make do with mulling over the specs.

The pocket-friendly Nokia X3 Touch and Type weighs in at just 78g, and is a super svelte 9.6mm in depth, making it one of the smallest and lightest touchscreen handsets on the market. The screen is a 2.4-inch panel – up from 2.2 inches on the regular Nokia X3.

Other specs on the Nokia X3 Touch and Type also get an upgrade over the standard Nokia X3. Where its sibling makes do with a 3.2-Megapixel camera, for instance, the Nokia X3 Touch and Type gets a 5-Megapixel snapper.

Connectivity is also outstanding for such an affordable handset, with 3G/HSDPA in place for fast web browsing and downloads on the move, and Wi-FI provided to save you money when in range of wireless networks.

We'll be bringing you a full review of the Nokia X3 Touch and Type in the near future, so keep an eye on NokNok. In the meantime, check out our photos of the Nokia X3 Touch and Type in all its coloured glory.

On the flip side, I will recommend you the Nokia X3 Touch and Type if you are looking for a unlocked handset just to make calls. Navigating the phone was really easy and the home screen can be customized with a variety of shortcuts for the quick access apps. The Nokia X3 Touch and Type has a resistive touch screen but the QVGA display was still pretty responsive. The 2.4 inches diagonal screen is adequately bright and clear but it does limit the amount of information that can be shown on the display.
