Ovi Store game review: MemoryFarmMemoryFarm has players uncovering tiles in this free Ovi Store game of recollection. It might be plastered with colourful farmyard animals but it's still a challenge for older players. But is it worth a download? Read our MemoryFarm review to find out more.

MemoryFarm is based on the premise of a farmyard that awakens one morning to find that all its animals have escaped. It's up to you to retrieve them and send them back to the barn.

The gameplay couldn't be any simpler - you're presented with 28 square tiles, underneath of which is a picture of a cutesy farmyard animal. Flip one over by touching a panel of your choice to reveal an animal. Then flip another over. It'll reveal either the same, or a different animal. If a different animal is revealed both tiles will flip back to as they were. If the animals match, both tiles will go out of play, enabling you to find the rest.

As you'll have guessed it's hardly difficult, depending on your powers of remembering stuff. For added incentive a counter in the middle bottom of the screen letting you know how many turns you've taken. You can use it to beat your previous score, in the unlikely event you feel like it, or even challenge friends to beat your score.

There isn't much to MemoryFarm at all. Clear all the squares and you'll be asked if you want to do it all over again. It's not a complaint, after all MemoryFarm offers exactly what you'd expect it to. But it still would have been nice to offer incremental challenges, like perhaps even more tiles the second time around. Though for a game clearly aimed at kids MemoryFarm does the required.

If the above appeals, MemoryFarm is a fun little distraction, but it's cute looks and child-like appeal is likely to prevent most older Nok fans pulling it out on a crowded bus, or playing it more than twice. As a kids game MemoryFarm does a decent job, despite lacking any proper extras, but even younger players are likely to find alternative distractions sooner than later.
