That zesty lime-green version of the Nokia N8 that has featured so prominently in publicity shots for the new phone is going to be out of reach for many Nokia fans. Mobile network Vodafone has just signed a deal with Nokia to seize the colour exclusively for its customers.

Non-Vodafoners will have to make do with silver white, dark grey, blue and orange - although we dare say another mobile network might have its eye on that one. Probably 3.

Whichever colour you choose, the Nokia N8 will come with a 12 megapixel camera, HDMI out and a 3.5 inch capacitive touchscreen capable of displaying over 16 million colours. The N8 is the first device to run Nokia's new Symbian^3 operating system with multiple home screens, widgets and support for USB-on-the-go allowing you to plug memory sticks and other USB devices straight into the phone.

The Nokia N8 is listed as 'coming soon' on Vodafone's site and all you can do at the moment is sign up for an alert when the phone launches. We will let you know as soon as Nokia set the date.
