Nokia N8 set for Nokia World 2010We've already got our invites for Nokia World later this month, and we're expecting big things from Nokia. With a host of announcements and launches hopefully in the pipeline, we're hoping the Nokia N8 will finally be officially launched. Join us after the cut to find out more...

Nokia World is on its way later this month, with the Finish manufacturer set to make announcements, launches and more during the 14th and 15th of September. Nokia World is held in conjunction with the Nokia Developer Summit, so there should be some exciting tech on display.

With the Nokia N8 also set for dispatch on September 23rd, we're hoping Nokia's flagship Symbian ^3 device will be present, ready for a full hands-on, and set for public to finally order.

It seems like it's taken forever for the Nokia N8 to get to market, partly because it's such a desirable handset. It's Nokia's first to feature a full anodised aluminium casing, proving incredibly stylish, robust and tactile, and it's also the first Nokia device to feature Symbian ^3 and a 12-Megapixel camera.

Perhaps there will also be some spanking new apps available to go alongside the Nokia N8's official release, taking full advantage of the brand new Symbian ^3 operating system. Either way, we'll be there, bringing you full hands-on reviews and previews, so check back here on the 14th and 15th September for live info.

Loads of Questions will be Targeted at Nokia about the N8 an Why?an What as caused All the Delays of the Nokia N8 ,an why? was the N8 leaked out so early making people so anxious to get there hands on the N8,LOads will now be Definetly trying to get to the London Event or see Videos of the N8 an its Functionality an is it really Nokias First Really Top Class Smartphone an Nokia are back on TRack Again

I think the main reason why the Nokia N8 got delayed so much is because the devs were trying their best to fix the kinks and lag in the Symbian^3 OS. The N8 is the ‘turn the fortunes’ or ‘bet the farm’ flagship phone for Nokia, and it wants to not repeat the mistake of a hastily released N97.

That said, I think the delay is too long. Nokia should have a predictable, consistent development roadmap for any phone. Unlike Blizzard’s games, where delays only make people crave the product more, in the current smartphone industry A LOT can happen in one financial quarter (3 months), and your product may lose its edge to the competition as precious time slips by.

Nokia was forced to reveal the phone earlier than it should or intended, because stock value fell through robotic stock sales alarm values in April 2010, creating a massive selling wave. Nok had to come open and show what it is doing, even prematurely, to give a signal to investors that they are doing something concretical to cope and patch with problems in product portfolio – notably lack of smartphone/s with touch screen.

Early published testes and N8 reviews from H1 2010 were very detrimental from Nokia’s point of view, because Symbian ^3 was only patched together early August.

Since then things have progressed very well, the phone is soon if not already coming out of production lines, and starting to ship to delivery channels – in masses probably next week …
