does-your-nokia-have-the-x-factorThe all-new X Factor app (exclusive on Ovi Store from today) has got us all excited about the TV talent show. So, we decided to have a bit of Friday fun and ask - if your Nokia went on X Factor, what kind of songs would it sing? We've rounded up our various devices and matched them up with who we think would be their model musical mates. From the versatility of the N900 to the quirkiness of the 2220 we've got it covered. Read on after the jump to find out who's who...

What do you think your Nokia would be if it went onto the X Factor? The Robbie Williams of mobile phones, perhaps? Something a little more rough and ready, in the form of the Libertines? We've tried to find a personality for our favourite mobile phones - read on to see if you agree.

Nokia N8 would be... Frank Sinatra

Smooth, suave and surprisingly tough, Nokia's new flagship has more than a little in common with America's finest crooner. Although he's probably not made of anodised aluminium, unlike our new favourite handset.

Nokia 5800 would be... Coldplay

It may not be an attention grabber like the Nokia N8, but the Nokia 5800 has proved a smash hit when it comes to sales – just like Coldplay. With over 8 million handsets sold, it's one of the most popular handsets on the market. Coldplay counters by being one of the biggest selling artists in the music biz, although we're not sure we remember why.

Nokia N97 would be... Jedward

Like the gruseome twosome, the N97 is a phone of two halves. Both halves might do a very similar thing, but they do it in their own unique way. The end result will never win any awards but it does give us something to laugh at. Much like Jedward, really.

Nokia N900 would be... Muse

Capable of carrying out any task, and better than rivals, the Nokia N900 is a formidable handset. Just like Muse – one of the most versatile bands, capable of stunning pianist work, or a level of guitar playing that makes fellow acts weep with admiration.

Nokia X6 would be... The Arctic Monkeys

Just like the Nokia 5800, but that little bit better and prettier in every respect, the Nokia X6 is an excellent mid-range handset. As with Coldplay, the 'Monkeys are incredibly popular, but much more upbeat, better and younger.

Nokia N97 Mini Gold would be... P Diddy

A handset clad in gold, need we say more? It's definitely not the most... tasteful... offering, but it couldn't be any closer to rapper P Diddy, clad head to toe in bling...

Nokia 3720 would be... 50 Cent

Shot more times than he probably cares to remember, there's nothing lightweight about 50 cent. The same goes for the Nokia 3720, a handset which will go on forever. Probably best you don't try shooting it, though.

Nokia 2690 would be... Susan Boyle

OK, so even ardent fans are unlikely to claim that the Nokia 2690 can match the N8 for style, but it's a surprisingly capable device. We think it's the Susan Boyle of the phone world – granted, she's no KT Tunstall, but she's still surprisingly good.

Nokia X3 Touch and Type would be... Justin Timberlake

Modern, incredibly easy to use, smooth, girls are certain to love the Nokia X3 Touch and Type. Just like Justin Timberlake - young, a good mover, the girls love him. Apparently.

Nokia 2220 Slide would be... Katy Perry

Small, cute, mad, fun, something perfect to take home. A bit like Katy Perry really. Available in a range of bright colours, the Nokia 2220 Slide is ideal for those wanting a more simple handset. (Not that we're calling Ms Perry simple, we've never had the good fortune of meeting her!).
