Next week sees Nokia's biggest event of the year – Nokia World – where we'll be attending to get the latest gossip and scoops on upcoming devices such as the Nokia N8. To find out more, and to hear how we'll be covering the event, join us after the cut...

We signed up to attend Nokia World a few weeks ago, and the event runs from the 14th to the 15th September. Along with the chance to meet and chat to some important Nokia peeps, and more Nokia N8 stuff, we're also hoping the Nokia E7 will be there - a rumour confirmed by Reuters earlier this week.

As we'll be out of the office for two days, it's essential to have all the right kit to ensure that NokNok runs smoothly and gets the latest updates. We'll be taking our Nokia N97 Mini then, as it's capable of a lot more than just making phone calls.

The QWERTY keypad makes the Nokia N97 Mini perfect for making quick notes during interviews, and 3G/Wi-Fi connectivity and the fantastic Opera Mobile web browser makes it easy to upload info straight to our website.

The 5-Megapixel camera is also good enough for quick scoops, and as soon as we're ready to settle down and write some proper stories it's easy to connect to our laptop either by USB or Bluetooth, using the handset as a 3G modem.

With the help of our Nokia smartphone then, you're guaranteed to get the latest news and updates from Nokia World, however busy it gets and no matter how long we're away from the office.
