The Nokia X2 is an excellent little handset, and although it sits at the entry-level end of the market, it's stylish, well made and full of features. A review sample turned up at our door last week, and you'll be able to read a full review over the coming days. In the meantime, check out our unboxing after the jump...
On first impressions, the thing that impresses the most about the Nokia X2 is just how efficient the packaging is, and just how little has been wasted. It's even apparent over other Nokia handsets – such as the Nokia C3 – and highlights Nokia's green credentials.
Nokia X2 now available in India
Open up the incredibly tiny box, and the Nokia X2 is slipped neatly into the side, with the charger and other bits and bobs taking up the centre of the box. With money saved on packaging, among other things, this handset has to be one of the cheapest 5-Megapixel camera phones on the market, with the Nokia X2 available for just £85 on Pay as You Go.
It's not just the camera that impresses on the feature front, either, as the Nokia X2 also features a pretty impressive design and build for the price. We particularly like the brushed aluminium rear cover, giving it a premium feel more in-keeping with pricier handsets.
The Nokia X2 also impresses out of the box with its music playing capabilities, with a decent set of in-ear earphones, a 2GB microSD card for storing and transferring your favourite songs, and a set of music hotkeys on the sides of the handset - letting you play, pause, skip and adjust volume settings at the touch of a button.
We'll be checking out all of the features in our full review later this week - along with a proper review of the camera and interface on the Nokia X2 . If you're interested in a cheap but fully-featured handset, then, head back here in a week or so. In the meantime, have a nosy at our unboxing pics below.
