Having already granted Nokia users the gift of free guided Ovi Maps navigation, Nokia today hinted of even more location based goodness to come. "It is a space we intend to own", and that the internet will play a big part in that Nokia predicted at Nokia World.
Speaking about location based services, Niklas Savander, executive vice president at Nokia said that soon your phone will not only be able to analyse your location, but your friend's too. And your schedule. "In 2013 more than 800 million people around the world will be using GPS related devices."
And Nokia believes the internet will play a massive part in GPS services, saying that soon everything will be location coordinated, and this will change the user experience - "It is a space that we intend to own."
