The Nokia C3 Touch and Type is the latest mobile phone in Nokia's ever-increasing mobile phone range. It's aimed at the entry-level end of the market, yet still offers neat features such as a touchscreen display. We've been having a play with the Nokia C3 Touch and Type, join us after the break for our first impressions...
Unlike most modern smartphones, the Nokia C3 Touch and Type harks back to simpler times with its design. Where most touchscreen handsets feature a display that dominate the entire front, the Nokia C3 Touch and Type has a full and usable hardware keypad below - as with the Nokia X2 Touch and Type.
This time it's a regular 12-button arrangement, unlike the X3 Touch and Type (which features four vertical lines of keys). The benfit of this design - over either a full touchscreen or a sliding arrangement like the Nokia E7 - can be seen as soon as you get your hands on the device.
You'll be able to carry out all function on the Nokia C3 Touch and Type with one hand - as with older handsets - and there's no need to use more than one finger or thumb to get the best out of it. The additional usability from the touchscreen is excellent, and quickly becomes second nature. Simply tap on whatever you want, without the inconvenience of having to use an onscreen keyboard when messaging.
The rest of the Nokia C3 Touch and Type is equally impressive, and with a depth of just 11mm, it's easily small enough to slip easily into pockets. It may also sit towards the bottom of the Nokia C-series range, but it also feels great to the touch, with a robust casing and responsive buttons.
The biggest problem for us would be choosing between the Nokia C3 Touch and Type and the excellent Nokia X3 Touch and Type, as both have an awful lot to offer.
