Although we knew handsets were being dispatched towards the end of this month, it looks like Nokia N8 customers will have to wait until October to take delivery of their new smartphones. The Nokia N8 was set for a September release, but it looks like demand for the N8 has even taken Nokia by surprise, and as such won't be arriving with customers hands untll October.
A blog post on Nokia Conversations - Nokia's official blog confirmed the news:
"We have received a record number of online pre-orders for the Nokia N8. We had targeted our online pre-order customers to receive their N8s by the end of September. As it can take time from the beginning of shipment to arriving at their doorstep, in full transparency, we have advised our pre-order customers that they should expect their new Nokia N8 in October."
