The Nokia 5230 is one of the most popular touchscreen smartphones currently available, but it's easy to get caught up in the hype with all the latest products. However, if you already own a Nokia 5230, you'll be pleased to know you can get even more out of it. Join us after the cut to find out how...
The Nokia 5230 is a decent smartphone, mixing a low cost with the Symbian S60 5th Edition operating system. The result is a smartphone that's accessible to all. It has the potential to be an even better smartphone, however, as some users have found out.
As standard, the Nokia 5230 features a processor that runs at 434MHz. It's always proved good enough for us, but a video has popped up on the internet showing the Nokia 5230 being overclocked to an impressive 800MHz.
This offers almost as much speed as the latest crop of smartphones, and could see apps running with less lag. At present, the hack hasn't been made public – so you'll have to wait if you plan on overclocking your own Nokia 5230. We still think it's pretty impressive, however.
