Ovi Store Game review: BalanceToyBricks BalanceToyBricks is a game that has its description firmly explained in its title. You attempt to balance toy bricks on a precarious piece of wood, without letting them drop down. It's actually more fun than it sounds and is rather addictive, not to mention very challenging. Read our BalanceToyBricks review to find out more.

There are plenty of simple puzzler type games on the Ovi Store that get it all wrong. BalanceToyBricks isn't one of them. It takes a simple idea and executes it very well for a free game.

The aim is, of course, to carefully balance toy bricks, which you do so on a rectangular chunk of wood that swivels from side-to-side depending on how much weight is put from falling bricks on each end. You can control the piece of wood by dragging it with your finger to steady it, being careful to avoid big movements as you attempt to balance an increasing amount of blocks.

As bricks fall onto the wood chunk it gets increasingly topsy turvy. The first few levels are easy, but even as early as level eight it gets challenging, requiring plenty of patience and delicate finger work. It's the perfect game to while away the time on the train. There's plenty of levels to get into too, with 20 to start off with, and more unlockable later on, with an excellent difficulty curve along the way. Not bad for a free game.

If we had to criticise, the graphics could be a lot better, and the gameplay feels a little weightless, but at the same time it feels like part of the challenge. Not that that it detracts from the enjoyment.

BalanceToyBricks is a fun Ovi Store game well worth downloading to your touchscreen Nok. It's challenging, addictive and a joy to play. And it's free!
