Nokia announced today that shipping for the Nokia N8 has just begun, and it neatly coincides with the completion of The Commuter - a film shot entirely using the Nokia N8's high-definition video camera. We've got a preview of the film, which stars Pamela Anderson, Ed Westwick, Dev Patel and more, after the break...

The Commuter is film shot entirely using mobile phones, with the Nokia N8 providing the necessary HD video camera. We can't wait to see the finished result - we've already seen what the Nokia N8 is capable of with Dot: The World's Smallest Stop-Motion Animation Character - and the quality is exceptional.

The video below shows the filming of the Commuter, with Dev Patel the star of the scene. There are plenty of other recording devices present - but we're told that only footage shot from the Nokia N8 will be used for the film itself.
