We'd struggle to pay less than that on Pay as You Go, so it looks like a great choice, especially with 900 inclusive minutes, 500 free texts and a choice of unlimited internet use or unlimited text messages.

Those of you who'd rather stick with O2 can also get outstanding deals, with Dial a Phone offering a Nokia X6 on O2 for a claimed £11.11 per month after discounts. With unlimited text messages thrown in, and the need to be signed up for just 18 months, it looks worth a second look.

It's also easy to keep costs down with Vodafone, with the Nokia X6 on offer through Dial a Phone with half-priced line rental for 18 months. With this in mind, the £25 per month fee averages out at £15.63 over the 24-month contract – again a great deal.
