That piece was also inundated with comments. So we did another round-up! Read on to find out what the public really think about the Nokia N8 and the Apple iPhone 4...

Actually, we've had that many comments, and so many of you have wanted to have a say on the Nokia N8 vs Apple iPhone 4, that following our round-up, and another 30 comments, we've actually had to write another piece!

Nokia N8 Vs Apple iPhone 4: The People Speak Again!

With hundreds of fantastic comments to wade through, and the fact that you guys really want to have a say in this, we decided to create a Nokia N8 vs Apple iPhone 4 page. We'll update this on a regular basis, every time we have a new batch of comments on the Nokia N8 vs Apple iPhone 4.

As before, the depth of opinion is excellent, with lots of well thought out suggestions and passions running high. Jhdog points out that “the iPhone doesn't have an FM transmitter and that the camera is inferior to that of the N8, so I would always choose the N8”. Take that, Apple!

Fighting the iPhone 4's corner, Rich states “I know who I'd be backing if I had to bet my house on it and it won't be Nokia”... “Apple has sold about 7 million iPhones in a few months and still can't keep up with demand despite the problems that it's had”.

With hundreds of comments, it's a fascinating debate. So head over to Nokia Vs Apple iPhone 4: The People Speak Again, and check out the latest updates. See what the public really think (we think you're erring on the side of the more impressive Nokia N8!), and please do keep leaving comments – either on the original page, or in the comments below.

Loads will prefer the N8 over the iPhone because of the cost difference,o.k the iPhone does look more attractive an the only downside is the cost of it ,the iPhone4 sells about between £550-£600,an the N8 you can buy off Nokia £429 sim free, but Tesco offering the N8 £329 sim free when its finally available on the 22nd October,an i will finally get my N8 tomorrow at Last

@andy burgin what you said isn’t true. Just checked Apple’s UK website, the 16gb iPhone 4 is £499 sim-free, it’s the 32gb version that costs £599. To be honest I wouldn’t touch an N8 or an iPhone 4 with a 10 foot bargepole, both phones have flaws which kill them in my view, the N8s problem is Symbian 3, it isn’t intuitive, and way too fiddly in 2010, and the web browser on Symbian is still behind iPhone and Android when it comes to basic web page rendering, sure this may be fixed when the new Nokia browser is released at some point in a future update, but right now it’s a bit of a dinosaur. The iPhone 4′s biggest problem is the build quality, plain and simple, has anyone noticed why Apple don’t sell iPhone 4 cases, it’s because it can lead to the iPhone 4′s glass back cracking, that’s shocking in my view.

Right now it’s best to stick with what you currently have (in my case it’s the N900), these current gen phones just aint worth “upgrading” to. I personally think Microsoft will have a big say, only the most ardent Microsoft haters or Apple fanboys, aren’t impressed by Windows Phone 7, the first gen phones will have issues, but I’ve little doubt Windows Phone 7 OS will be a big hit. Personally I’m gonna keep my N900 and just hold on for the next Android devices or the next Windows devices which will drop next summer.

i prefer to buy a nokia, not only for the camera, but also for ovi suite, nokia music player, the wide choice of phone. and the good quality of the hardware. i don t give a damm to lose 1 seconde when i am surfing if i have good quality video for ever. anyway i always use opera mobile that is a very good quality, much better for me than safari. ok i can t pich and zoom but i am not a child to play.
for people who think that symbian is old they can load mobile shell that is so good. and make your phone more convenient and modern than android and iphone.
the main problem with symbian is that it is more difficult to use at first. so many menu so many options. we don t have this probleme with iphone or android, you can do all the menu in 15 minutes. so i think i wil be nokia lover for ever even if they have made so many mistakes in the past. they did nt believe to touch screen phone. big big mistake
