The Symbian ^3 operating system on the Nokia N8 offers loads of lots of neat features, one of them being the ability to use shortcuts for your favourite contacts.
This lets you add a widget to the homescreen, and you can add up to 20 contacts to it. You can also add photographs for your contacts – so it's a simple case of tapping on the friend you want to call or send a text message to.
Nokia N8 and Symbian ^3: Everything You Need To Know
Nokia pre-installs a contact widget as standard, and it's all ready to go straight out of the box. Simply tap the widget to get started, and pick the first contact you want to add. Press OK, and your first contact is added.
To the right, you'll see Add and Remove – you can add up to 20 contacts using the same process. There's only enough space to display four contacts – but to see more simply scroll to the right or left.
You can also add photographs to all of your contacts – and these pics will show up in the widget. Check back here on Thursday to find out how to add snapshots of all your mates. We're also preparing a comprehensive Symbian ^3 guide, with tutorials for everything you need to know to get the best out of your Nokia N8. If you have any questions, check out the guide, let us know, and we'll try to update it with more tutorials.
