Ever since our Nokia N8 review sample arrived a few weeks back, we've been working on a comprehensive how-to guide. This week we're looking at how to get Facebook and Twitter on your Nokia N8. Join us after the cut to find out more...
One of the great things about the Nokia N8 and its Symbian ^3 operating system, is the fact it's really easy to set up Facebook and Twitter. You'll be able to access status updates from your home page, see updates and go straight to the apps themselves.
There's a widget built into the Nokia N8 for both Facebook and Twitter. It should be ready to go straight out of the box, but if you need to add it again simply click on Options, Edit Home Screen and select the social networking widget.

You can also select Nokia's Facebook widget if you want to keep Facebook and Twitter completely seperate. Click on the Social widget to get started. You'll need to enter your Ovi details first – if you don't already have an account, it's quick and easy to sign up.
Once you've signed into Ovi, you can then configure both Facebook and Twitter accounts. Thankfully, it's a simple case of entering your usernames and passwords. As soon as you've entered the details, your accounts will show up in the homescreen widget.
From the widget, you'll be able to view status updates, keep an eye on your accounts or launch dedicated Facebook and Twitter apps simply by tapping the widget.
We’re also preparing a comprehensive Symbian ^3 guide, with tutorials for everything you need to know to get the best out of your Nokia N8. If you have any questions, check out the guide, let us know, and we’ll try to update it with more tutorials.
