We've been impressed with the Nokia N8 ever since we first got our hands on one, but it appears like you guys feel the same. Although the Nokia N8 has only been on sale for one month, it received the highest number of pre-orders in Nokia's history, and is set to become one of the company's best selling handsets. Join us after the cut to find out more...

The Nokia N8 has reinvented the mobile phone for Nokia, offering a number of firsts in the high-end smartphone market. It's the first handset to feature Symbian ^3, and a multi-touch capacitive screen really lets you get the best out of the new OS.

We take the Nokia N8 rallying!

It's also the first device to offer features such as USB on the go, and the 12-Megapixel camera  and ability to record HD video – and then hook it up to your HDTV via HDMI – really sets it apart from rivals.

But if you're a Nokia fan, you already know all this. Which is why so many people have signed up to get their hands on a Nokia N8. According to an announcement via Twitter, the “N8 has received the highest amount of consumer pre-orders” in Nokia's history – which is some achievement considering the company's placement as the world number one seller of smartphones.

With Symbian ^3 set to receive a host of updates in the new year – such as a completely new web browser, the Nokia N8 has the potential to get even better, and we wouldn't be surprised if it ends up as Nokia's best selling smartphone ever.

o2 are selling N8s online on their website for £330 on pay and go, which I think is a bargain, far cheaper than anything on ebay that I’ve seen, and a almost £100 cheaper than buying from Nokia directly. I might actually get one and just use my regular sim, it’s far better than being locked into a 24 month contract.
