Along with the Nokia C2-01, Nokia also announced the Nokia X2-01 this morning. The X2-01 is another budget option, but this time offering a QWERTY keyboard. To find out everything you need to know about the Nokia X2-01, read on after the break...

The Nokia X2-01 is available in both black or white, with contrasting strips of red or blue. With the full QWERTY keypad, it's perfect for social networking and keeping up to date with your mates.

As with the Nokia C2-01, the Nokia X2-01 uses Nokia's S40 operating system. It's bolstered by the company's Communities app, offering social networking features such as Facebook.

In-keeping with other Nokia X-series handsets, the Nokia X2-01 features one-touch access to music, media and the FM radio, and you'll also be able to add memory cards of up to 8GB.

The screen measures in at 2.4 inches, but because it's in a landscape orientation, web pages promise to be easier to read.

Unlike the Nokia C2-01, there's no 3G connectivity – only GPRS/EDGE – but pricing is kept down as a result. The Nokia X2-01 is expected to cost around 80 Euros when it goes on sale later this year.
